Directional Arrows
1) Do not apply the vinyl adhesive arrows to a wet surface. They will not adhere. However as long as the arrows are applied to a dry surface, they are waterproof and will hold up to a heavy rainstorm.
2) If using the 4" arrows to mark a course, consider a single yellow arrow about 30 yards in advance to indicate approaching a turn, 4 red arrows to indicate the actual turn, and a green confirmation arrow about 20 yards after the turn.
A single 4" arrow is visible from about 20 feet. However, a set of 4 of the 4" arrows laid out in a kite pattern as shown below are visible from about 50 feet.

3) Apply the directional arrows close to the curb or edge of the road in a position that minimizes the likelihood of being run over by car or truck tires. The adhesive does not hold up very well if the arrows are run over by car tires as the road grabbing tires tend to dislodge the arrows. However, if a turn is marked by 4 arrows in a kite formation, even if one gets dislodged, the other arrows still mark the turn.
4) Brush grit and gravel away from road surface before applying. They adhere better when fully in contact with the road surface. Bring a wisk or broom along when applying the arrows. Often times the spots on the road that collect the most debris due to not be exposed to tire traffic are the placements best suited for the arrows.
Marking Paint
Is your paint water or oil based?
We only sell marking paint and chalk that use water as the solvent.
How many cans are in a case?
Every case contains 12 cans.
Can I order different colors in one case?
No, we only sell one color per case.
How long does it take for the paint to dry?
Depending on the humidity conditions and climate, it normally takes 5 minutes for the paint to dry to the touch.
How long will Easy Marker paint and Chalk last?
Climate conditions are a big factor in determining this. Easy Marker paint should last until the grass grows out. It will last much longer on hard surfaces. Chalk is designed to be temporary and should only last for a couple of weeks.
How far will my paint go?
Easy Marker paint will mark 2 ½ miles per case. Easy Marker Chalk will mark up to 1250 linear feet per can.
Will the paint damage the grass?
The paint may stunt the growth of the grass, but will not kill it.
Will the paint wash away in the rain?
All of our paint will withstand the rain, but environmental conditions create a variable as to how long it will last.
What is the best temperature to use your paint?
The best conditions are if the ground is above freezing. The ground must be clean and dry. Also, the can should be kept between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
My lines look thin in the middle and there is a lot of overspray. What could be wrong??
The can could be too cold. Try warming it up to between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
I am getting a fuzzy line that looks thinner than normal. What could be wrong?
The can may be too hot. Try putting the can in a cool place. The can should be between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
How should I store the paint?
Store cans or cases upright in a cool dry place. Do not expose to extreme temperatures. Before storing partially used cans, first hold the can upright and pointed away from you. Next, press the tip sideways for a few seconds to clear any residual paint from the tip.
What should I do if the paint will not spray?
Try replacing the tip with another one. Make sure you have shaken the can at least 1 minute after the balls start to rattle.
Does your paint contain lead?
No. All our paints are lead free.
How many ounces are in a can of Easy Marker paint?
Between 15 and 17 oz. Either will mark up to 2 ½ miles because our paint is packed with pigment.?
Can I buy only 1 or 2 cans of paint?
We only sell paint in cases of 12 cans.
What is solvent?
Solvents are the chemicals that keep the paint in a liquid form so it will spray out of the can.
How soon will my order ship?
We ship every weekday, Monday through Friday from Glenview, IL. If an order is placed by 1 PM Monday – Friday, it will normally ship that same day.

How does your Easy Marker paint compare to other marking paints?
